What is Library Freedom Project?

Since 2015, Library Freedom Project has been rethinking the library professional organization by creating a network of values-driven librarians acting together to build "information democracy"— the conditions where people can access the information they need freely and without barriers.

Our community collaborates to create resources, deliver programming, change library infrastructure, and more. We create spaces for library workers to connect, learn, have generative conversations, and help to build the library world that we all want. 

Your support is what allows us to continue this work and—most importantly—share it freely and widely. Monthly contributions like yours:

• Fund our intensive trainings, Library Freedom Insitute, and bi-annual Library Freedom Conference
• Support our volunteers across the country as they present workshops, train advocates, and share their expertise
• Ensure that our staff can continue nurturing the community through engagement, development, and learning opportunities
• Ensure that the work does not end with a grant period, that these efforts can continue as long as they are necessary to our communities
